last update for the year?

Since I was on a 2 weeks break and did whatever my heart desires then and there, I seldom got the chance to update my blog, feeling a little bad about it so have to at least make this one more entry before the year ends.

I just started to work again and although work is urgent and piling, it's with a different perspective. I had such a nice time away from it all it was exhilarating. It was such a nice feeling to be so care free and stress free, so much so that my colleague commented that I looked very different without the stress signs on the face.

So anyone who has yet to take a break from work should do so once a year at least for a week or two to get away from it all, next year I'll be doing it last 2 weeks of the year, a nice end to one and a great new beginning to another.

I have lots to update about the 2 weeks break I took and what went on. The Christmas stuff and some thoughts I had during this time. But that will have to wait till the New Year comes.

This year has been a good one. Money was better, I earned more but when it did, I always manage to spend it, somehow, so still no savings and no 'Woman's worth investments' made. So this will be one of my new year resolution - Save up!

But there are also a lot of sadness this year. Much news of death and of illnesses around my circle of friends and the passing of elderly people, calamities, accidents... makes you really wonder about life and how fragile it is.

But there was also hope and love. Hope for a better tomorrow when grief hits you at the lowest point and drags you down. Love when you lest expect it. The shoulder to cry on, the strong hands with the great hugs. There is an ending to a good friendship without any reason, which I have almost forgotten about totally - well, so be it. Blossoming of new friendships and rekindling of good old ones. Marriages and divorces, tears of joy and tears of sorrow, new born, life and death - the full circle of life.

I'll end this year with thoughts of contentment and hope for better days to come when we cross over from the 2005 to 2006.
